Welcome to my site, I hope you like what you see.
When I moved to Santa Rosa in 1998 to attend nursing school, I had the intention to move back to my home town as soon as I graduated. A few months after moving here, I met a boy and 3 years later, I married him. So here I remain, in beautiful Sonoma County, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. My husband and I have 3 children, two girls and a boy, and they are my muses. They are the reason I became obsessed with photography, to catch those fleeting moments of childhood. If I could bottle it up or freeze them in time, I would. Since I can’t, I try to document their young lives through pictures.
By day, I’m a mom and a wife, by night, okay, evening, I’m a Labor and Delivery nurse. I honestly believe I have one of the most awesome jobs. Words can’t describe the raw emotions and strength of childbirth. Watching a mom work so hard for the greatest gift she will ever get tugs at my heart strings. I still tear up when a dad holds his baby for the first time and he cries. It’s just an incredible experience.
I am inspired by golden sunlight right before sunset, by children’s laughter, by the love between sisters, brothers, couples, and families. I love to capture smiles, giggles, hugs, hand holding, and natural moments. I adore capturing the tiny details of a newborn, snuggling them, posing them, and smelling their sweet puppy breath. I love everything about newborns.
