Dramatic lighting can really evoke feeling and emotion into an image. I wanted to try for serious and thoughtful, almost dark, so I put Bailey right in the bright light square shining in from my large picture window. I love the way it turned out. She wanted to smile and act silly, but I didn’t want to show her face at all and make the viewer use their imagination.
Next I placed her directly in front of the big window and blew out the background to make a hazy, airy feel. I love the way it muted the tones of her dress.
